My Dividend Portfolio as of December, 2011: +$1699.40 (+2.25%)
I am pleased with the dividend income that is coming from my stocks this month. I made a few more changes to my stock allocation too.
Before the end of the year, I wanted to rely less on JE.TO, ZWB.TO and K.TO and invest more into the stocks I have chosen for my dividend income. JE.TO and ZWB.TO did bring in good dividend income but for different reasons I wanted to sell them.
For JE.TO, I don't see longterm growth for them. The stock struggled in the past few months to the point JE.TO believed that the stock was undervalued and bought back some of their shares in December to increase the stock value. Only time will tell if this help help the stock value recover from its loses.
For ZWB.TO, I did it more for the dividend income but I'm learning that it shouldn't be the only reason to invest in a stock. Because of the short price history it's hard for me to see if it will continue to perform well this year. I will keep an eye on it, but I will most probably stop investing into this stock.
Overall, my dividend portfolio is growing and the dividend income will be reinvested to help me buy more shares in the upcoming months.
